Grinding Wheels Replacement
• Replace wheels only with other wheels with a speed
range at least as high as the r/min NO LOAD stamped in
the tool nameplate and with a 1/2" axis orifice.
• The disc diameter shall be 5" and the maximum
thickness 5/8".
• Double check the new wheels have no cracks and keep
the sequence of both.
• Remove the wheel guard loosening and removing its
three screws (A).
• Using a tool hold the wheel firmly to prevent it from
moving (B) and loosen the axis nut.
right-hand disc nut gets loose turning in a counterclockwise
direction and the left-hand side disc nut (C) is loosened
turning in a clockwise direction.
• Remove the outer flange (D) and the wheel to be
replaced (E).
• To set correctly, set the new wheel onto the axis (F) and
repeat the described steps in a reverse manner.
• The tool can be set with most of the polishing
and buffing wheels available in the market with a
maximum diameter of 125 mm (5``)
WARNING
• Using any different accessory
is not advisable and can cause severe injury.
Grinding Wheel Care
• Due to usage the wheel may crack, striate, get
round-edged, chip, get unbalanced or get stuck with
material. If the wheels show cracks, they must be replaced
immediately. The other conditions can be fixed with a
honing tool (available in most of the hardware stores).
• New wheels may need to be honed again to round them
off.
