WARNING! Use ONLY TRAEGER BRAND BBQ WOOD PELLETS, which are specifically made to work in our Grills. Traeger wood pellets are rated for 8500 BTU per LBS with an ash content of 2%. CAUTION! Always store wood pellets in a dry location, away from heat-producing appliances and other fuel containers.

INTRODUCTION Congratulations on your purchase of this Traeger Wood Pellet Grill, Model TFB57PUBC. With proper set-up, operation and maintenance, the Grill will provide you with delicious food and years of cooking enjoyment. NOTE: NUMBERS FOLLOWING PART NAMES THROUGHOUT THIS MANUAL REFER TO THE COMPONENT DIAGRAM.
SECTION ONE: ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS MOUNTING LEGS TO GRILL FRAME: 1. With the help of another person, carefully rotate the grill upside down. Use the foam packaging included to brace the barrel on the non-hopper side, and keep it steady. Caution: The grill is very heavy. Always lift the grill with 2 people. 2.

INSTALLING LEG BRACES TO LEGS: Insert leg brace (69) in between legs and align with threaded inserts. The insert Bolts (24) into holes and tighten. Repeat process on other legs. INSTALLING DOOR HANDLE TO DOOR: Insert handle (13) onto the two slots located in the Door (9). Install Washer (16) and Bolt (17) onto the Handle (13) bolt from inside the Door (9) and tighten.

ATTACHING THE FLUE PIPE AND CHIMNEY CAP ASSEMBLY: 1) Align the holes in the Flue Pipe (45) with the holes in the Flue Pipe Gasket (46), which fits between the right end of the Grill and the Flue Pipe (45). From the Hardware Kit, place Zinc Flat Washers (63) on two of the 1/2”...

INSTALL GREASE DRAIN PAN: RECOMMENDATION for ease of clean-up: Line the Grease Drain Pan (97) with heavy- duty aluminum foil. Be sure the edges and ends of the foil are tight against the bottom of the Grease Drain Pan (97). 1.

SECTION FIVE: MAINTAINING YOUR NEW GRILL 1) CREOSOTE AND GREASE: Formation and need for removal. When wood pellets are burned slowly, they produce tar and other organic vapors that combine with expelled moisture to form creosote. The creosote vapors condense in the relatively cool flue exhaust of a slow burning fire.

A) If your vacuum cleaner is a bagless model, empty any previously accumulated debris from the collection chamber. Then vacuum the ash from the inside of the Firepot. Once the Firepot is clean, empty the collection chamber into the metal container described below without delay.
