The Ionic air cleaner contains a ionizer which emits negative ions into the surrounding air. This
process helps the device to clean the air more effectively because such negative ions bind very
small particles from the air (positively charged particles such as pollen, dust, smoke, hair etc.).
Thus created bigger particles are more easily caught. The UV lamp then ensures air sterilization.
Ions are invisible particles which have positive or negative charge are naturally contained in the
air around us, in water or soil. The natural source of ionization energy of primarily electromagnetic
radiation from space is the radioactive radiation from the Earth's core but also lightning during
storms. The highest concentration of negative ions in the air may be observed after storm, at
waterfalls, in caves or in the mountains. On the other hand, the smallest concentration may be
observed in rooms where we spend most of our time (rooms in our homes, streets or air-conditioned
rooms). The ionization process is thus negatively influenced by humans due to our intervention in
nature, building materials used but also computer technology.
Because negative ions are a significant source of the human body energy and they have a positive
impact on our immunity, it is suitable to ensure their higher occurrence (primarily in places where
the balanced ration of ions is disrupted.
