Add the Modem Service
Copy the Configuration Capture File to the MUSE File Server

Installation Procedures
1. The Service must now be added to the Services list at the file server.

If you are adding a modem at the file server, you must shut down
the MUSE CV system before running CVADDSVC. Use the IMS
application to shut down the MUSE system as described in the
MUSE Field Service Manual.
2. CVADDSVC is the tool that is used to add the Service to the Services
list. To add the Service you need to be logged in as a local
administrator, and then run cvaddsvc. Open a Command Prompt
window.

The password for the MUSEBkgnd user is needed to perform this
upgrade.
3. For our ASYNCH CSI Modem type: cvaddsvc [Space]
[DomainName]\MuseBkgnd [Space] [Password] [Space]
CVIS0019 [Space] -m [Space] [3-digit modem number as recorded
in the previous section] and press Enter.
4. Use the up arrow and change the modem number to set up additional
services. Repeat as needed for each modem that was configured.
5. Close the Command Prompt window.
6. After running this command, open the Services list to verify that the
service has been added.
7. Verify CVISMDM_XXX (where XXX = Modem Number) is in the list
of Services and is set to Manual Startup.
8. To start the new services, do one of the following:
a. Start CV_SCM
b. Restart CV_SCM
c. Reboot the computer
After all information has been accurately recorded in the Configuration
Capture file, copy the file to the following location on the MUSE file
server:
c:\mei\profile\2002783-067.txt
This file will be available to GE Service if the system requires remote
service support.
