Introducing Sateon Advance Sateon Advance offers a flexible new approach to access control, with a new range of hardware and software products. Setting up a Single-Blade Controller The Advance Single-Blade controller is designed to be located close to a door or when limited space is available. It has an integral case which supports either one 2 Door Blade (supporting 2 doors and 2 readers) or one I/O Blade (supporting up to 8 supervised inputs and 8 volt-free relay outputs).

A licence is required before any other pages can be viewed. This is a two-step process: Load the new licence to access all licensed Sateon options. Validate the licence within 30 days by calling Grosvenor Technical Support. Your licence file is specific to your installation. It will be provided on a USB stick under the \licence folder.

Licensing Sateon Installing and Validating a Licence On the Systems Administration > Licence Info page click Add/ Alter Licence. Select Upload Licence. A file selection dialog appears. Navigate to the appropriate file (with the .gtl file extension) and click Open, then Save. If the licence loads succesfully, the following dialog appears.

Running Quick Start The Quick Start application will discover the controllers connected to your network, and help you get Sateon up and running as quickly as possible. Run Quick Start. From the Sateon server, select the Quick Start desktop icon. Quick Start can also be run from the supplied USB flash drive.

Discovering Controllers The first time you log in to the Quick Start App, the settings dialog is displayed. Choose the Reader/Token type used on your site, and click Save&Close. Set the communication direction for the controller (if you are unsure, the default selection is ‘Outbound’).

Configuring Controllers For IP connectivity, configure controllers as follows: Give the controller a name. We suggest using a name that identifies its location or purpose. Choose the connection mode: for IP networks select IP only. The addressing options appear. Choose Use DHCP if IP addresses are to be dynamically assigned, or choose Use Static IP Address to assign a static IP address.
