    This document presents a user guide for repeater Network Management System – Infinity version: Coiler NMS Infinity. Its goal is to guide network and operation engineers on how to use NMS Infinity for repeater network management. By following the manual, engineers should be able to operate NMS Infinity without knowledge of its architecture.

    NMS Infinity. If these settings are not defined, users may experience troubles using NMS Infinity. • Section 2 (red) – these settings are typically set by Coiler during NMS Infinity installation or they already contain some sort of default setting.

    Please use the same column format as the exported nmsuser.csv file so all the fields can be mapped accordingly. Note: it is recommended that each user to be created directly within NMS Infinity. If import is needed, the administrator that would be performing the import would need to be very clear on the Zone_ID and Group_ID during the CSV file creation.

    To navigate to user groups configuration page, please select the menu item “Setting”, then “User Group Settings”. There are groups created by default during NMS Infinity installation. However system admin should create additional groups based on company policy and then assign users to the groups accordingly.

    Maintainers are involved in customer support and case resolution on site. They should be informed immediately after incident/alarm from a repeater is received by NMS Infinity. This information will be transmitted to a maintainer immediately after NMS Infinity receives an alarm indication.

    To create a Repeater Type, click on the “Add Repeater Type” as in one of the red circles shown above. Users with Repeater Model setting rights can add new repeater types: 1. Choose device parameter file (provided by Coiler) and click “Upload” button to import device parameters.

    Batch Sync Repeaters A.7. After adding number of repeaters, the repeaters have to be synchronized so that NMS Infinity receives confirmation that repeaters indeed exist. To make synchronization of multiple repeaters easier, Batch Sync Repeaters option can be used. This allows for synchronization of multiple repeaters in parallel.

    1. “Search” for repeaters to add polling time. User can fill in query conditions to filter results, then click “Search” to find corresponding repeaters. Searching without filter conditions will list all repeaters from NMS INFINITY database. 2. Tick Checkboxes for the repeaters for adding batch polling time.

Moreover it also sends SNMP traps to preconfigured IP address, communicates with customer’s email server and is responsible for NMS INFINITY database backup and backup settings.
