Getting Started This manual covers many models and not all cycles, options, or features listed are available on every model. Console shown above for reference only. Your model may differ. To operate your dryer, follow these basic steps: Check and clean the lint screen. (See page 9.) Load the dryer. -

Operating Instructions Operating Your Dryer BEFORE USING YOUR DRYER Read the important instructions in this section of the Use and Care Guide before operating your dryer. WARNING To reduce the risk of fi re, electric shock or injury to persons, read the IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS in this Use and Care Guide before operating your dryer. - Page 9 4. Select the appropriate cycle and settings for each load. NOTE Over-drying can cause wrinkles, shrinkage, lint, harshness and a build up of static electricity. Turn the cycle selector knob in either direction to select the cycle desired. The estimated dry- ing time for Auto Dry cycles or the actual dry- ing time for Time Dry cycles will be displayed.

Operating Instructions Cycle Selection Turn the cycle selector in either direction to the cycle desired. The indicator for that cycle will be illuminated. Press on the cycle selector knob to extend it or return it fl ush to the console. For best results Follow the fabric care label instructions on items to be dried. - Page 11 Cycle Selection, continued TIME DRY CYCLES TIME DRY To manually select the drying time for any load, turn the knob to time dry. Drying times from 15 to 75 minutes can be selected by continuing to turn the knob. Drying time will be displayed. Select any drying temperature.
- Page 12 Operating Instructions SPECIALTY CYCLES, continued PET BEDS Select this specialty cycle for drying soft-sided pet beds, pet pillows or pet blankets. COMFORTER For use with large and king size comforters, uses low heat to thoroughly dry comforter without dam- aging stuffi ng or fi llers. ACTIVE WEAR Select this specialty cycle to dry lightweight syn- thetic athletic apparel including stretch fabrics.

Cycle Settings Drying Temperature The appropriate drying temperature will auto- matically be indicated for the cycle selected. For best results Follow the fabric care label instructions on items to be dried. To change the preset temperature, press the tem- perature button to scroll to the desired setting. To protect your fabrics, not all temperatures are available with every cycle. -

Operating Instructions Options Suitable options will automatically be indicated when the cycle is selected. To add options, press the corresponding options buttons to illuminate the selections desired. To delete options, press the options buttons again and the indicator lights will turn off. To protect your fabrics, not all options are avail- able with every cycle. -

Options, continued LINE DRY Select this option to simulate hanging your laundry in a summer breeze combined with the wrinkle- releasing benefi ts of tumble action. Since drying times are calculated with the dryer’s automatic moisture sensors and heat is radically reduced or eliminated, cycle time will be lengthened. -
