Closing the tension ring must be done carefully because the turnbuckle can cause injuries when it locks into place.
CAUTION:
4.3 Hooking up the filtration system
First lightly grease the hose nipples on the three container connexions in the container cover with Vaseline, so that the pressure hoses slide on
more easily. Then screw the hose grommet from the package enclosed with the filter pump and the supplied "retaining ring 2" onto the pressure
side of the filter pump. First check to ensure that the O-ring is in the O-ring groove on the hose grommet. Grease the hose grommets lightly with
Vaseline in order make attaching the spiral pressure hose easier. Next slide the spiral pressure hose along with the supplied hose clamps onto
the hose grommets on the 6-way central valve and the filter pump. Then tighten the hose clamps securely and check to ensure that the hose is
securely seated. >>> Figures 6, 7
Next the connexion to the pool is made
(Flexible connexion)
To connect to the pool, one end of a flexible hose is attached to the suction side of the filter pump and the other to the pool (skimmer). The
purified water return is connected by running a flexible hose from the right connexion of the filter container cover ("to pool") to the pool inlet. A
third hose is connected to the filtration system ("to drain") and the other end to the base drain or to open DN 100 drainage channel.
All three hoses are then slipped over the corresponding hose grommets on the container cover and fixed in place with a hose clamp (not
supplied). For convenience of operation, ball cocks may be installed poolside between the skimmer, the pool intake and the corresponding hose
grommets.
