    FOUR-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY Craftsman (U.S.) Inc. warranties this product to be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of four (4) years following the date of purchase, provided that the product is used in a home environment. This limited warranty does not cover failures due to abuse, accidental damage or when repairs have been made or attempted by anyone other than qualified service organizations.

    WARNING: THE CHARGER SUPPLIED WITH THIS PRODUCT IS INTENDED TO BE PLUGGED IN SUCH THAT IT IS CORRECTLY ORIENTATED IN A VERTICAL OR FLOOR MOUNT POSITION. • DO NOT attempt to charge the battery pack with any chargers other than the ones in this manual. The charger and battery pack are specifically designed to work together.

    WARNING: BURN HAZARD. BATTERY LIQUID MAY BE FLAMMABLE IF EXPOSED TO SPARK OR FLAME. • Charge the battery packs only in Craftsman chargers. • DO NOT splash or immerse in water or other liquids. This may cause premature cell failure. • Do not store or use the tool and battery pack in locations where the temperature may reach or exceed 104°F (40˚C) (such as outside sheds or metal buildings in summer).

    IMPORTANT CHARGING NOTES 1. Longest life and best performance can be obtained if the battery pack is charged when the air temperature is between 60°F and 80°F (16°- 27°C). DO NOT charge the battery pack in an air temperature below +40°F (+4.5°C), or above +105°F (+40.5°C).

    OPERATION SWITCH To turn the unit “ON”, slide the lock off button, shown in Figure F, backward and squeeze the trigger switch. Once the unit is running, you may release the lock off button. In order to keep the unit running you must continue to squeeze the trigger. To turn the unit “OFF”, release the trigger. WARNING: NEVER ATTEMPT TO LOCK A SWITCH IN THE ON POSITION.

    If the blade is bent, housing cracked, handles broken or if you see any other condition that may affect the trimmer’s operation. discontinue use immediately and call the Craftsman help line at 888-331-4569. Fertilizers and other garden chemicals contain agents which greatly accelerate the corrosion of metals.
