Backup and reset

Change the settings for managing settings and data.
On the Settings screen, tap Backup and reset.
• B ack up my data: Back up your personal information and app data to the Samsung
server. You can also set the device to automatically back up data.
• R estore: Restore previously backed up personal information and app data from your
Samsung account.
• B ack up my data: Set the device to back up settings and app data to the Google server.
• B ackup account: Set up or edit your Google backup account.
• A utomatic restore: Set the device to automatically restore settings and app data from
the Google server when apps are reinstalled.
• R eset settings: Return the device's settings to the factory default settings without
deleting data.
• R eset network settings: Return the network connection settings to the factory default
settings.
• F actory data reset: Return the device to the factory default settings and delete all data.

Active key

View and edit the apps launched when you press the Active key.
On the Settings screen, tap Active key.
• S hort press: Select an app to launch when you press the Active key.
• L ong press: Select an app to launch when you press and hold the Active key.
• A ctive key on lock screen: Set the device to enable the Active key while the screen is
locked.
