Hardware Setup Instructions
Multipurpose Transmitter - Model ASM01
IMPORTANT: ATEK's Customer Care Team (CCT) is ready
to assist with any setup help necessary to fully utilize the
AssetScan Transmitter. Site and contact information is needed
before data is properly managed by the ATEK Intelligence
Platform (AIP). CCT: 800-523-6996 or assetscan.com/contact
NOTE: If using customer supplied sensors, refer to Sensor
Wire Connections section on page two before proceeding.

Setting up the Transmitter

Open transmitter case by pulling up on two latches on front of case.

Connect black wire to negative (top) battery terminal as shown. Ensure red wire is

seated on positive terminal.
Green LEDs on board will begin to light up.
Remove protective caps from sensor ports and connect sensor cable ends to

receptacles. Be sure connectors are snug to provide environmental seal.
Connect cables to sensors as needed. For proper AIP functionality, ensure sensor

port connections match configurations in AIP. Refer to product manual for detailed
instructions.
Wait 2 minutes after plugging in battery then press TEST button on board.

Transmitter will go through a data collection cycle that will last for 10 minutes
before reverting to normal operation.
Call ATEK Customer Care Team at 800-523-6996 to ensure transmitter has

communicated with AIP or login if access is already available.
Shut and latch lid.

Login to AIPAssetScan.com to monitor data and edit device set-up as necessary.
