Upgrading the Firmware
The oldest firmware version supported by VOIspeed is 4.0.2.11.307 therefore please make sure you are
running this version or a later one.

In order to update the firmware:
- install an FTP server in the local network
- make sure the DHCP server can allocate an IP address to the TP server with the possibility to setup option
'66' usually referred to as BOOTP on most DHCP servers. If option 66 cannot be used than follow the
manual procedure below:

Advanced (2) - enter the password (456) then press Enter

Press Network Config (1);
until it shows

Enter a the IP address of the FTP server
NB: user the start button (*) as decimal dot
Press OK
NB: after having configured the firmware you should disable the IP address of the FTP server from the
DHCP. This will avoid waiting about 6 mins each time the phone restarts as it will search for an update
firmware version connecting to the FTP server
How to install an FTP server:
- download the ZIP file from: http://www.voispeed.com/download/FirmwarePolycom.zip
- create a new user with both username and password equal to: PlcmSpIp (make sure the user has reading
and writing permission on all directories used)
How to configure the new firmware on the phone:
- simply restart the phone and it will download the new firmware automatically.
- NB: make sure you do not remove switch the phone off or disconnect it from the netowkr during this
procedure as it will compromise its future behaviour. The upgrade will take about 6 mins to complete.
