The manual for the Porch Fan HC-1131 does not mention the need for oiling. If the fan is running slowly and making noise, check for loose screws, ensure the reverse switch is fully engaged, and verify that no variable speed control (dimmer) is in the fan circuit. Allow 24 hours of running time for the bearings to fully seat.
