-70 Watts, 120 VAC, 60 Hz (14B & WBU14B)
PRECAUTIONS
1. Connect to a properly grounded outlet. Many
older homes do not have properly grounded
outdoor electrical outlets. Check with an
electrician if you have any questions regarding
your electrical ground.
2. Locate the bird bath where it will be away from
possible snow drifts.
3. Do not place the heated bath section directly
on the ground.
4. Do not immerse the heated bath section in
water.
5. Connect to a circuit that is protected by a
Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI). This is
a sensitive device that cuts off the electricity if
there is any leakage of current. This device may
be obtained from any electrician or hardware
store.
NOTES
This product is approved for use with the
LOCKNDRY® extension cord. The plug on this
product is specially designed to mate with
the LOCKNDRY® cord to form a secure, water-
resistant seal.
EVAPORATION
This bath was designed to be attractive to birds in
shape, slope, texture, and depth. Because of this,
the bath has a rather large surface area relative to
the amount of water it holds. This is typical of a
well-designed bird bath. However, these features
will also accelerate evaporation, therefore, you
may need to add water daily.
MAINTENANCE
Clean the bird bath regularly to prevent build
up of lime. The construction is plastic so most
cleaning materials can be used. Never immerse
the heated section in water.
WARRANTY
This bird bath is warranted for a period of
12 months from the date of purchase. If you
believe your unit is defective and still within
the warranty period, return it to the place
of purchase for inspection and possible
replacement.

base plate to press the grip plate snugly against
the rail. Do not over tighten the bolts which will
cause the back of the base plate to bow. Use the
long bolts for a 2x4 rail and the shorter bolts for a
2x6 rail. (Always use the shortest possible bolts.)
Be sure to mount the base plate with the bolts on
the outer side of the deck rail since the bath will
tilt in that direction to dump water.

flap on the front of the handle should engage
the square hole on the front of the base plate. If it
does not, check to be sure the bolts on the base
plate are not too tight, causing the the back of
the plate to bow. You may also wish to bend the
handle slightly to get the flap to snap into place.
4. To hide the cord during summer months you
can remove the handle to wrap the cord around
the raised center portion and reinstall the handle
to hold the cord in place.
