SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS FOR VERTICAL TRANSMISSION JACKS
RESPONSIBILITY OF THE OWNER AND/OR THE MACHINE OPERATOR
The se in struc tions are an es sen tial part of the jack and must al ways fol low it, even in case of sale.
The ow ner and/or the ope ra tor shall un der stand the pro duct ope ra ting in struc tions and war nings be fo re ope ra ting the jack .
If the ope ra tor is not fluent in one of the se lan gua ges, the pro duct in struc tions and war nings shall be read and di scus sed with the ope ra tor in the
ope ra tor's na ti ve lan gua ge, ma king sure that he un der stands its con tents.
The con struc tor is not liab le for da ma ges to peop le or things due to un fit or unal lowed use of the jack.
PACKING
The tra smis sion Jack is sent into a car to on box pack age in the fol lowing pi e ces:
1 sadd le - 2 trol leys - 1 jack body - 1 Litt le bag with 4 pi vo ting wheel kits.
ASSEMBLING
Open the pack age whi le chec king that the ma chi ne has not suf fe red any da ma ges in tran sit and that all pi e ces in the pac king list are pre sent.
The pac king ma te rial is to be recycled or used again.
Ap ply the 4 pi vi ting wheels to the 2 trol ley ends and block them loo king the nut and was her (fig.1).
Fix, wit hout loc king, the 2 trol leys down to the pump by mean of hexa go nal- head screws and re la ti ve was hers (fig.1). Lock the car ri a ges bolts
to the jack only af ter chec king that the out si de rod is set at right an gles to an ho ryzon tal pla ne.
In sert the sadd le on the rod end.
Be fo re ope ra ting the jack , re pla ce the oil plug (ref.A, fig.2) on the cylin der with the ho led one (ref.B, fig.3) sup plied by the ma nu fac tu rer.
Test the JACK lif ting first wit hout load then with the ra ted load. (AT TEN TION! Re spect the load ca pa city shown on the jack.)

OPERATION

Lif ting : Pump on the pe dal of the jack by a foot (fig.3)
Lowe ring : turn slow ly the re lea se val ve to the left. (fig. 4)
SAFETY RULES
The use of this jack is li mi ted to the re mo val and in stal la tion of transmis sions and dif fe ren tials.
When loa ded, the transmis sion jack may be used on a short flat way AND ONLY WITH THE JACK IN THE LOWEST PO SI TION, WITH THE
ROD COM PLE TELY IN SI DE (fig.5). Check that du ring tra sport the load do not swing and sud den dly fall.
Do not over load! Over loa ding may cau se da ma ges to per sons or things.
It may be used with ap pro pria te adap tors ma nu fac tu red espe cial ly for the Jack to hand le ot her com po nents , such as rear axle units and
trans fer ca ses , within the weigth li mi ta tions spe ci fied .
Be sure that the vehic le is ap pro pria tely sup por ted be fo re star ting re pairs.
WAR NING
AVOID DECENTRAL PLACEMENT OF THE GRAVITY OF THE LOAD.
Decentral placement of the load might cause overturning of or damage to the Jack .
This jack is de si gned for use only on hard le vel sur fa ces ca pab le of su stai ning the load, Use on ot her than hard le vel sur fa ce can re sult in
jack in sta bi li ty and pos sib le loss of load (fig.5).
The sa fe ty val ve is ca li bra ted and sea led by the ma nu fac tu rer; it is ab so lu tely for bid den to tam per with this val ve or chan ge its ca li bra tion.
FAILURE TO HEED THESE WARNINGS may result in loss of the load, damage to the jack and/or failure resulting in personal injury or
property damage.

MAINTENANCE

The hydrau lic sy stem (pump/cylin der) is a sea led sy stem, that re qui res only a monthly oi ling of the mo ving parts. In case the hydrau lic unit leaks
oil or has to be di smantled for gas kets re pla ce ment, you need to make the pump wor king and slow ly add oil throught the fil ling hole. When the
transmis sion jack is in the lowest po si tion, the oil le vel should not ex ceed the fil ling cap le vel. For di smantling ap ply to aut ho ri zed peop -
le.
Re qui red quan tity of oil: 300kg - 500kg: 0,95 lt. - 1000kg: 1,25 lt.
The hydrau lic sy stem con tain enough oil when the jack re a ches the hi ghest po si tion

a sur plus of oil might cau se trou bles.
Usab le oil: any hydrau lic oil of gra da tion ISO 22 (ref. Shell Tel lus oil 22 or equi va lent) . NE VER USE BRA KE FLUID.
Oil the pe dal me cha ni cal parts eve ry 2 months with an higth qua li ty oil and grea se the head pum ping ele ment. In case of oil lea king from the
hydrau lic sy stem re pla ce the seals.
INSPECTIONS
Be fo re using, each jack should be chec ked to ex clu de leaks, da ma ges, mis sing, loo se and worn parts.
Each jack shall be in spected im me dia tely if it is be lie ved to have been sub jected to an ab nor mal load or shock. IT IS RE COM MEND ED that
this in spec tion be made by sup plier's skil led per son nel
It is re com mend ed that an an nual in spec tion of the jack be made by a sup plier's aut ho ri zed spe cia list and that de fec ti ve and dan ge rous parts
must be re pla ced with ori gi nal spa re parts sup plied by the ma nu fac tu rer (see spa re parts list).
DAMAGED JACKS
Eve ry da ma ged, very used or ab nor mal ly ope ra ting jack SHALL BE RE MO VED FROM SER VI CE.
JACKS DESTRUCTION
When the jack must be de structed, ma te rials must be recycled ac cor ding to the coun try law in for ce.
