ATTENTION
SHARPENING THE SAW TEETH
To maintain the best conditions for your tool cutting operation, be sure to keep the saw teeth sharp. It is ideal to do
this when the angle of the upper tooth is 30 degrees. You can sharpen them properly by performing the following
steps:
1.
It will be ideal to do so when the upper tooth angle is 30 degrees.
2.
Side tooth angle: Sharpen the side teeth to 85 degrees.
3.
Top grinding angle: If the top and side teeth are sharpened correctly, the top grinding angle should
automatically become a 60 degree angle.
When filing the chain saw, when pushing the file in the direction indicated by the arrow, be careful not to touch
the blade with the file. After the chain has been filed two or three times, it may be necessary to file the target teeth
slightly lower.
This is because the rake of the tooth serves to due to the characteristic curved shape of the tooth blade. As a result,
the drilled blade will be lower than the depth gauge, resulting in a failure to cut.
To compensate for this defect, use a flat file to sharpen the top of the tooth blank so that it is about 0.5 mm lower
than the tip of the tooth. Be careful not to file the tooth rake too much, otherwise the tooth blade will be sawed off
suddenly, causing the tool to jam during cutting.
1
Always wear gloves when working around the blade assembly.
Use only original spare parts for this machine.
