Installing the Power Supply Installing the Power Supply Installation Cautions: ■ When installing multiple power supplies for a switch, use the same power supply type. ■ Make sure the power source circuits are properly grounded, then use the power cord supplied with the power supply to connect it to the power source. -

Installing the Power Supply Installation Steps Follow these steps to install the power supply into the back of the switch: Remove the power supply slot cover with either a flat-bladed or Torx T-10 screwdriver. Retain the slot cover for future use. C a u t i o n Make sure the AC power is not connected to the power supply being installed before installing the power supply into the switch. - Page 14 During the installation, make sure that AC power is NOT connected to the unit being installed. N o t e Although the illustration shows an HP 5406R zl2 switch, the installation procedure is the same for all zl2 switches. Tighten the four retaining screws that hold the power supply in place until the screws are secure, as shown in the next illustration.
