Quick Links

Secure the brace and support arm together with
the bolt and lock nut provided.
Finally, hook the hoists

that the hoist is held
captive.
Connect

supply to the fixed plug
on the unit, (see illustration). Either using a suitable
fly lead or alternatively, a loose end cable drum
(available for hire from your local HSS Lift & Shift Depot).
All that remains is to plug the unit into its power
supply and switch the supply ON.

The control pendent has 3 main buttons. The red
STOP button isolates the unit from the power
supply, in case of an emergency simply press the
button once and all electrics are isolated. To re-set
the button, turn anti-clockwise until it pops back out.
The 2 remaining buttons have direction arrows,
indicating the direction the hoists cable will travel
if pressed.
To lower the cable, press and hold the button with
the down arrow, until the hook is at the required position.
To raise the cable press and hold the button with
the up arrow until the load is raised to the required
position.
Note that when lowering the cable, you must ensure
a minimum of 3 windings remain on the drum.
Do not use the load cable as a sling.
Attach the lifting hook to the load ensuring the
safety latch is correctly engaged. Press the up
button until the load is at the required height.
Note that the hoist is fitted with a limit switch,
which will switch OFF the motor if you over run,
please ensure that the up button is released before the
hook weight is in contact with the limit switch.
Never push the equipment beyond its design
limits. If it will not safely do what you want with
support
arm
reasonable ease and speed, assume you have the wrong
equipment for the job. Contact your local HSS Lift & Shift
Depot for advice.
Keep the equipment clean, you will find this less of a
chore if you clean it regularly, rather than wait until the
end of the hire period.
When not in use, store the equipment somewhere
the
power
clean, dry and safe from thieves.
Detach the hook from any remaining load and run
the cable fully in. Switch OFF the supply and
unplug the unit.
Dismantle the hoist by reversing the assembly
instructions in 'GETTING STARTED'.
Collect all parts together ready for return to your
local HSS Lift & Shift Depot.
