REDUCED CLEARANCES

Approved double-wall chimney connector and/or approved non-combustible protection over combustible surfaces may
permit the heater to be installed closer to combustible surfaces than the standard clearances to combustibles.
Clearances may only be reduced by means approved by the regulatory authority. To reduce clearances to combustible
materials, specified forms of wall protection must be installed. For acceptable methods and parts to be used, refer to
NFPA 211 (USA) or CAN/CSA B365 (Canada). Since municipal bylaws vary it is recommended that you (the installer)
check with your local authorities as to approved methods of wall protection for reduced clearances.
