PREPARATION FOR OPERATION
Fitting power elevents
1. Open the battery compartment lid.
2. Insert two batteries ("AAA")
3. Close the battery compartment.
Switching on
Press .
Result
The first measurement result will appear
on display after about 10 seconds.
Switching off
Press and hold for a few seconds.
DEVICE OPERATION

Measurements begin when the device is turned on.
Measurement with Background Mode
When making measurements with Background Mode ON, two results are
displayed simultaneously:

TIP: Normally, we recommend keeping the Background Mode off, unless you are
scanning a specific object in a new environment. This mode takes 5 consec-
utive readings to establish base-line background radiation in your immediate
area, and then shows any readings higher than the established baseline.
