GETTING STARTED Battery Removal and Installation 1. Make sure the unit is turned Off. 2. Locate the battery cover on the bottom of the unit. Use a coin or a screwdriver to loosen the screw and then open the battery cover. 3. - Page 5 BATTERY NOTICE • Use new alkaline batteries or fully charged NI-MH (Nickel Metal-hydride) rechargeable batteries for best performance. • Use only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended. • Do not mix different types of batteries: alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), rechargeable, or new and used batteries.

AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF To preserve battery life, the LeapFrog Pull-Along Butterfly ® Book will automatically shut off after approximately a minute and a half without input. The unit can be turned on again by pressing the Music/Story Button or by pulling the butterfly. - Page 8 ACTIVITIES Starting Play Slide the Off/Low/High Volume Selector to turn the unit on. Hear an opening sound effect, a playful phrase and a welcome song. The light will flash with the sounds.
