Fractional Cake : Assembly Instructions
Assemble 26 pieces of cake. The assembly method is the same for all
six sizes. The example here shows assembly of 1/8- and 1/2-size pieces.
Assemble one 1/8-size piece before assembling the other sizes.
Materials for
Assembly of 1/8 cake
1/8 cake
Prepare materials. Cut
out the parts and make
mountain folds and
valley folds as indicated.
Cut in line
(solid line)
Curl around a rod
approximately
5mm in diameter.
Assembly is basically the same as 1/8 cake, with differences explained here.
Assembly of 1/2 cake
Glue pieces in numerical order, curving paper as you work.
Size
Number
Glue the pieces in numerical order,
curving paper as you work.
Curl parts 8-2, 8-3,
and 8-4 as shown in a diagram
*1, then glue in place.

Use a toothpick or other
fine-tipped object to apply
glue from outer edge.
Refer to 1/8 cake assembly for instructions
on how to assemble parts 2-2, 2-3, and 2-4.
How to play
Place pieces of cake on any of the three fractional
boards to create '1' whole cake.
Bonus:
Use part P29 to create a free-size cake.
