Frequently Asked Questions Question: Is the Cool Boss an air conditioner? Answer: No. it is an evaporative air cooler, sometimes called a swamp cooler. The fan pulls in hot outdoor air, a water drip system releases water, the water drops evaporate when they meet the hot air, lowering the air temperature by up to 26°F, and the fan blows the cooled air in the direction you point Q: How big of an area can a Cool Boss cool? A: 2,000 to 2,500 square feet, depending on the layout of the space you are cooling. -

4. Connect to an appropriate power source. Before connecting this unit to a power source, first verify the voltage that will be required by studying the model nameplate affixed to your machine (110 VAC, 60Hz, 1Ph, 15A or 208-230 VAC, 60Hz, 1 Ph, 15A). If your Cool Boss is equipped with a Plug not applicable to your power source, change the Plug as required using only an approved NEMA-rated plug. -

⚠ CAUTION Always dry the Cooling Pad after use by turning off the Cooling and running without circulating water; do this approximately 15 minutes before shutting the unit off.
