OPERATION - Continued
WARNING:
occur when the spinning blade
contacts an object that it does not
immediately cut. Blade thrust can be
violent enough to cause the unit
and/or operator to be propelled in
any direction and possibly lose
control of the unit. Blade thrust can
occur without warning if the blade
snags, stalls or binds. This is more
likely to occur in areas where it is
difficult to see the material being cut.
Frequently check the condition of the blade.
As it wears, the blade will become smaller,
reducing the cutting depth. Replace the blade
as needed. Refer to Replacing the Edger Blade.

Adjusting the Cutting Depth

WARNING:
personal injury, always stop the unit,
allow it to cool, and disconnect the
spark plug wire before adjusting the
cutting depth.
1. Loosen the depth adjustment knob (Fig. 15).
2. Slide the wheel up or down to the desired
height.

cutting depth. Raising the wheel will
increase the cutting depth.
