Convenience Net (If Equipped)
Your vehicle may have a convenience net. You'll see it
just inside the back wall of the trunk.
Put small loads, like grocery bags, behind the net. It can
help keep them from falling over during sharp turns or
quick starts and stops. For heavier loads, store them in
the trunk as far forward as you can.
You can unhook the net so that it will lie flat when
you're not using it.

Ashtrays and Cigarette Lighter

Pull down the front center tray to reveal the front
ashtray, cigarette lighter and auxiliary power outlet.
The front center and rear ashtrays may be removed
for cleaning. Hold the sides of the ashtray and then
pull the ashtray up and out.
NOTICE:
Don't put papers or other flammable objects
into your ashtrays. Hot cigarettes or other
smoking materials could ignite them, causing
a damaging fire.
2-56
To use a lighter, push the center all the way in and let it
go. When it is ready, the center will pop back out by
itself. Pull out the entire unit to use it.
NOTICE:
Don't hold a cigarette lighter in with your hand
while it is heating. If you do, it won't be able to
back away from the heating element when it's
ready. That can make it overheat, damaging the
lighter and the heating element.
The cigarette lighter will only operate when the ignition
key is in RUN and for 10 minutes after turning the
ignition off. If you would like the lighter to operate
regardless of ignition position, and for unlimited periods
of time, see "Engine Compartment Bussed Electrical
Center" in the Index or see your dealer.
