    NTENDED A E1650 Remixing Transfer Vehicle is used to transfer bulk asphalt material from delivery vehicles to a paving machine. The machine receives paving material in the forward dump hopper, or picks windrowed material up off of the roadway, delivers the material to the center hopper for storage and remixing, and then conveys the material to the hopper of a paving machine.

Relieve pressure in the hydraulic system before searching for leaks, disconnecting hoses, or performing any other work on the system. When searching for a pressurized leak, use an object such as a piece of wood or cardboard.

To prevent fires, routinely clear any combustible material from engine and engine exhaust system. Do not expose flammable material or explosive atmospheres to exhaust gas or to exhaust system components during regeneration.

    The Weiler E1650 is a self-propelled remixing transfer vehicle used for transferring hot-mix asphalt from transport vehicles to an asphalt paver. The E1650 is used in continuous, non-contact paving and helps to eliminate truck end segregation and adds a surge capacity to the paving train. Optional Weiler hopper inserts for the paver will provide additional storage capacity.

When a function or setting is active, the corresponding indicator (1) is illuminated.     WEILER E1650 REMIXING TRANSFER VEHICLE Cycle engine speed (2) to low/idle. Turn Ignition Switch (3) on. If wait to start screen appears, wait until main screen reappears to start engine. Press Engine Start Button (4). Run engine at low idle for 2-3 minutes, then increase engine speed to medium idle until engine reaches operating temperature.

    WEILER E1650 REMIXING TRANSFER VEHICLE ACHINE HUTDOWN ROCEDURE Turn Park Brake (1) on. Turn Elevator/Remix/Conveyor drive off. Lower elevator to place dump hopper firmly on ground or raise elevator and engage both lift stops. Completely lower discharge conveyor. Reduce engine rpm to low/idle. Allow to idle for at least 3 minutes when shutting down after operating at full power.

Position machine with paver as required and set park brake (1).

Verify distance control sensor (3) is free of debris. Position transfer vehicle at desired paving position directly in front of paver.

  • Page 76 WEILER E1650 REMIXING TRANSFER VEHICLE Truck Signal Lights (Optional) The truck signal lights indicate to the truck driver if the truck should raise, lower, move, or hold the truck bed position for delivery of asphalt to the dump hopper. The truck signal lights (A) and (B) can be controlled from the dash panel or from either of two dump hopper control panels.

    WEILER E1650 REMIXING TRANSFER VEHICLE ACHINE LEANUP WARNING Some spray down solutions and fumes can explode and burn. No smoking. No flame. Do not spray near a hot or running engine. At end of the day’s operation, clean machine to remove build-up of material on the elevator, conveyor, remix hopper, dump hopper and push rollers.
