Yes, the Pulsar PTG1121HD tiller requires gear oil for the transmission. The oil level should be checked annually, and proper lubrication of moving mechanical parts is critical for maintenance.

Pre-assembled where I bought it. When I crank it and pull the time lever, the engine does not rev up as it should. How do I fix it?

If the engine revs too high or too low when pulling the tine lever, avoid tampering with the governor setting, as it controls engine speed safely. Instead, check for the following:

1. Tine and Engine Mounting Bolts – Ensure they are properly tightened.
2. Throttle and Clutch Operation – Verify the clutch disengages when released and engages when pulled.
3. Spark Plug Condition – Inspect and replace if fouled.
4. Fuel Quality – Drain contaminated fuel and refill with fresh fuel.
5. Air Filter – Clean or replace if clogged.
6. Carburetor Condition – If dirty, take the tiller to an authorized service center for cleaning.

If the issue persists, consult the manual or seek professional servicing.
