TURFCO T3000i SERIES APPLICATOR Welcome Welcome to the Turfco T3000i Series Applicator. This manual will describe the machine, give correct operating procedures, and help you learn and understand correct operation. Operation of this machine without training can result in injury to the operator or damage to the machine.
TURFCO T3000i SERIES APPLICATOR OPERATION OPERATION Before Operating the T3000i Series Applicator and Before Starting the Engine, 1. Read the Operators Manual and Watch the Operation CD. 2. Check the oil in the engine. 3. Check air pressure in the front and rear tires. Inflate to PSI shown on tire.
OPERATION TURFCO T3000i SERIES APPLICATOR DRIVING CONTROLS CHOKE Locate the Parking Brake. Test the movement of the lever to the ON and OFF positions. The brake FORWARD FAST should always be set in the ON position when the operator is not present on the machine.

Steering the Machine Now you are ready to try the steering and driving the machine on the parking lot. Like your car, the Turfco T3000i Applicator steers uses a steering wheel. A full spin to the right will give you a full right turn and a full spin to the left give you a full left turn..

TURFCO T3000i SERIES APPLICATOR OPERATION THE SPREADER The spreader has several components and controls you should be familiar with before operating the machine. 1. HOPPER (See Figure 8) - The spreader hopper size is 2.9 cubic feet and holds 175 pounds (0.08 Cubic Meter/ 79.4 Kg.) of material.

OPERATION TURFCO T3000i SERIES APPLICATOR Trimming to Right Using the 3-1/2 MPH Speed Lever 18 TO 19 FEET 1. Set the 3-1/2 mph Speed Lever (on the right speed control handle) in the forward position. This will maintain your forward speed at 3-1/2 mph.
The gauge should read 40 PSI when spraying. Note: If the tanks are empty, the gauge will read zero. 3. TANKS (See Figure 14) - The Turfco T3000i Applicator has two liquid tanks. Each Tank has a capacity of 8 gallons for a total of 16 gallons (60.56 liters).

OPERATION TURFCO T3000i SERIES APPLICATOR Transporting the Machine to the Worksite Whether you use trailers, carriers or a pickup, loading and unloading the T3000i Applicator is very easy using the hydrostatic drive. Just approach the load area or ramps, get off the machine and slowly walk it into or onto the transport device.

TURFCO T3000i SERIES APPLICATOR SPREADER CALIBRATION Calibration for 4 lbs of fertilizer per 1000 sq. ft. at 12/6 foot spread pattern at 3-1/2 mph. You will be using your ground speed time for 166 feet at 3-1/2 mph. Step 1. Start with an empty hopper. Remove the spreader spinner wheel and shaft. Remove the pull pin at the very bottom of the shaft under the bearing and remove the pin that holds the spinner wheel in place.

SPREADER CALIBRATION TURFCO T3000i SERIES APPLICATOR Setting the Vari-Rate Stop (See Figure 20) This is the adjustable stop next to the gate opening lever on the top right of the unit. This is the setting you will use when you applicate on the narrow spinner setting for a 12/6 foot effective width. It comes into use when you push the Gate Opening Handle to the left or inwards toward the machine.

TURFCO T3000i SERIES APPLICATOR SPREADER CALIBRATION Setting the “Accuway” Spread Pattern Adjuster (See Figure 21 and Figure 22) The Accuway Spread Pattern Adjuster is a black plastic wedge that is under the spreader gate opening. When the gate is opened, the Accuway wedge controls where the material lands on the spinner wheel. This affects the throw of the material.
Calibration should only be done by licensed persons. The Turfco 3000 Applicator is designed to be used on large or small turf areas. ● For large turf areas you will want to calibrate for a 9 foot wide effective application width. A 9 foot wide application means that when you travel 111 feet you will cover 1000 sq.

The T3000i Series Product Number 85875 is equipped with a factory installed Turfco Electric Start Kit. The T3000i Series Product Number 85874 does not have a factory installed Electric Start Kit. If a 85874 has the Turfco electric start kit, it was sold separate and was customer installed. For kit installation information, refer to the manual for the Electric Start Kit (Turfco manual 668499).
