EQAS AS-5 heaters General Description This booklet covers EQAS AS-5 series heaters. They are designed to be used only with baptismal pools manufactured by Fiberglass Specialties, Inc. The EQAS AS-5 replaces the EQAS H-5, S-5, H-11 & S-11 models. This replacement was necessary to keep aligned with current building codes.

The system uses a circulation pump that relies on water pressure in the baptistry to operate. If the pump is to be located near or above the water level an EQAS AGP pump will be required . The final installation must be such that no person can touch water and any source of electrical pow- er at the same time.
Step 2 Electrical IMPORTANT NOTE : Due to the risk of electrical shock, a licensed electrician experienced in spa/ baptismal pool heaters should install this unit in strict compliance with the National Electrical Code and any state or local code which may apply. Units are required to have a clearly labeled emergen- cy switch provided by the installer as part of the installation.

Air Switch Installation This heater is supplied with 2 air switches, each with 10’ of tube, to control start/stop and fill/drain. The air switches can be mounted on the lip of the pool or any other convenient location. The air button in the heater package allows for NON-ELECTRICAL start/stop of the system and will override the time clock function.
