• Check to see that there is enough available space for the
recording (DVD+RW/DVD-RW only) (page 67).
• To record a cable or satellite program without using
cable box/satellite box control, turn on the cable box or
satellite receiver and select the program you want to
record. Leave the cable box or satellite receiver turned
on until the recorder finishes recording.
• The Rec Mode Adjust function only works with a timer
recording. It does not function with Quick Timer
(page 50).
• You cannot adjust the recording quality or recording
destination once the recording starts.
Checking/Changing/
Canceling Timer Settings
You can check, change or cancel timer settings
using the SCHEDULE list, even while a recording
is in progress.

With the TV Guide On Screen system
turned off, press SCHEDULE.
The SCHEDULE list appears.

Press M/m to select the program you want
to change, then press ENTER.

MESSAGES
Enter the number of minutes that the show
should begin early and end late. Press the OK
key when all the information is correct. Press
the Green key to cancel.

"Start early by": Press the number buttons to
start the recording by up to 99 minutes in
advance.
"End late by": Press the number buttons to
extend the recording by up to 99 minutes.
"Quality": Press the blue button to change the
recording mode.
"Destination": Press the blue button to switch
between HDD and DVD.
