The drawing is representative of both products. The product with item no. 2252486
also has a protective cover for the earthed socket, which is not shown here.

Operation

• Determine an installation location for the brightness-guided timer switch that is sufficiently
illuminated by daylight. Do not cover the light sensor (7) to avoid faulty switching.
The timer switch must be plugged into the power socket so that its built-in socket
comes to be located above the switch with the cover hinge at the top. Water drips
off downward when the cover is opened. Some imprints will not be properly legible
in that position. This only applies to the product with the item no. 2252486 (Timer
switch IP44).
• Plug the product with the mains input connector (12) into an earthed mains socket connec-
ted to the public grid. The power LED (6) on the front top lights up.
Do not use any extension cables, but plug the product directly into the mains socket!
• Plug an electrical consumer into the earthed mains socket (1). The power consumption of
the connected consumer must not exceed 3680 W. Do not overload the socket.
• If the device that you are connecting has an on/off switch, switch off before connecting, then
switch it on again after connecting..
• Set the desired operating/switching mode with the rotary switch (3). Turn the rotary switch
clockwise or anti-clockwise until the arrow on the rotary switch points to the desired symbol.
• The timer switch then switches on/off accordingly. The power LED (6) lights up when the
earthed socket is switched on.
• The following manual and automatic switching modes are available:
Symbol
Meaning
ON
The earthed socket is permanently switched on.

The earthed socket switches on as soon as the ambient brightness has
fallen below 25 lux for more than 5 minutes.
The switch-on duration is 2 hours.
4H
The earthed socket switches on as soon as the ambient brightness has
fallen below 25 lux for more than 5 minutes.
The switch-on duration is 4 hours.
6H
The earthed socket switches on as soon as the ambient brightness has
fallen below 25 lux for more than 5 minutes.
The switch-on duration is 6 hours.

The earthed socket switches on as soon as the ambient brightness has
fallen below 25 lux for more than 5 minutes.
The switch-on duration is 8 hours.
The earthed socket switches on as soon as the ambient brightness has
fallen below 25 lux for 2 seconds and switches off again as soon as the
brightness returns to min. 40 lux.
