Assembly Step 1 : Engine Unit Handle You will need 5mm hex key. Remove four bolts from handle. Put rubber bush around boom and line up the hole with a hole on the underside of boom. See image 1. Place handle clamp over bush and insert peg on clamp into one of the holes. See image 2. Place the handle on to the bottom clamp and evenly tighten the four hex bolts.

Assembly Step 2 : Harness Attach harness using quick release mechanism. See image 1. The black clamp can be loosened with 4mm hex key and adjusted back and forth to get the required balance of the machine. The white buckle goes to the front of your body. See image 2. Always use the harness when working with the machine.

Assembly Pole Saw Attachment Using 10mm spanner, remove nut from the cover (anticlockwise). Wearing thick gloves, fit the cutting chain over the drive sprocket, as shown. Fit the bar and feed the inner teeth of the chain into the slot which runs around the bar. Make sure the adjustment peg sits in the hole on the bar as indicated.
Preparation Before Each Use YOU MUST read and understand the full safety instruction manual before starting the machine. CAUTION - For OUTDOOR use ONLY. Petrol machines produce carbon monoxide – poisonous, colourless and odourless gas that can cause serious injury or death. Petrol is highly flammable, always handle with extreme care and in a well ventilated area.
Preparation Fuel And Oil This is a 2-stroke stroke engine and will need 2 stroke oil mixed with the unleaded petrol. The mix is 40 parts petrol to 1 part oil. (40:1). i.e. 1 litre of petrol requires 25ml of (semi-synthetic) 2 stroke oil.
Operation Connecting Attachments To Motor Unit Loosen off the blue hand screw. Slide in attachment, it will only go in one way, so do not force it. Slide it in to the red line as shown. Firmly tighten blue hand screw. Connecting Extension Boom The extension boom is attached between the motor unit and the tool being used to increase the height you can reach.
Operation Using The Pruning Saw CAUTION: Use extreme care whilst using this attachment, especially around children and pets. CAUTION: Be aware of overhead power/telephone wires Always check the tension of the cutting chain before use. This tool is only for pruning trees. Do not cut wood lying on the ground. Hold the saw firmly in two hands and make sure you have secure footing.
Starting / Stopping NOTE - This machine is shipped without fuel and oil and MUST be filled before use. Failure to do so may cause damage to the engine that will not be covered by warranty. Cold Start Pump the primer bulb under the carburetor 6 times. Slide the on/off switch back to (I).
Maintenance Maintenance Safety IMPORTANT - Routine and accurate maintenance is essential for maintaining original machine safety and performance levels. WARNING - Before cleaning or doing maintenance work, you need to stop the engine, disconnect the spark plug cable and read the relevant instructions. You need to wear proper clothing and protective gloves whenever your hands are at risk.
Maintenance Cleaning CAUTION - DO NOT use a hose pipe or pressure washer to clean the engine. Water can damage the engine or contaminate the fuel system. NOTE Engine must be switched off and spark plug lead disconnected. General Cleaning •...
Maintenance Storage Where To Store Store in a cool, dry place away from sources of ignition and varying changes in temperature. DO NOT stack other items on top of the machine when in storage. The protectors must be fitted for transport and storage Store the machine in a safe place, out of the reach of children or anyone who is not familiar with operation.

Maintenance Preparation To Re-Use Remove the spark plug. Pull the starter pull cord quickly in order to remove any excess oil from the combustion chamber. Clean the spark plug and observe the correct electrode gap on the spark plug. Fill the fuel tank. Transportation Whenever the machine is to be handled, lifted, transported or tilted, you must: Wear sturdy work gloves.

Maintenance Pole Saw Oil You can adjust the amount of oil that is applied to the chain by turning this screw. It has 3 positions. The middle is the factory set position. Push and click anticlockwise for more oil. Push and click clockwise for less oil. Check the oiling system is working by holding and running the saw blade close to a surface.
Maintenance Air Filter CAUTION - A dirty air filter will restrict the air flow to the carburettor, which will reduce engine efficiency. When using the machine in very dusty areas you must clean or replace the air filter more often. Never operate the machine without the air filter being fitted it can cause damage to the engine which is not covered by warranty.
Maintenance Lubricating The Chain Remove the oil filler cap. Fill oil tank with organic chain oil. The chain lubrication can be increased or decreased using the oil adjusting screw. Press and then turn the oil adjusting screw clockwise to decrease the chain lubrication. Press and then turn the oil adjusting screw anticlockwise to increase the chain lubrication.
Maintenance The figures given here are based on normal operating conditions. In the event of more difficult conditions, such as strong dust generation and longer daily operating hours, the given intervals are to be reduced correspondingly.
