ETHERNET The illustration shows the NPS 530. The NPS 532 has a 10base2 BNC ethernet connector. 1. Record your NPS 530/532 serial number (you will need it during the configuration). 2. Switch off the printer. 3. Attach your NPS 530/532 to the printer, either directly to the parallel port, or using the optional printer cable extension.

2. When Axis Print Utility is running, click Install to install your NPS 530/532. It will then appear in the print server list as AX<nnnnnn>.LP1 (<nnnnnn> are the last six digits of your NPS 530/532 serial number).

You must specify your NPS 530/532 serial number when ordering upgrades. Upgrading procedures: The software keys are entered as NPS 530/532 parameter values, one for Unix, and one for Macintosh. These parameters are accessed through FTP file transfer in a Unix environment, and through AXCFG in a NetWare, Windows or OS/2 environment.
