Wireless door contact
The door contact monitors the opening of a door or a window. The
contact is mounted on the door/window frame and a magnet is moun-

Commissioning
The contact must be paired with the receiver RCW-M before it can be
used.
The contact comes with a pre-installed CR2 3V Lithium battery.
Pull out the battery insulator to activate the battery.
Pairing the contact with the receiver
Look in the receiver instruction (RCW-M) for information on how to pair
the contact with the receiver.
Pairing/connection test
The connection to the receiver must be tested before mounting the
contact.
Inside
1.
Place the receiver and the contact at the desired locations.
2.
Put the receiver into Programming mode (refer to the RCW-M
instruction).
3.
Perform a Walk test: Press the Test button on the contact to see if
7
the location is within signal range of the receiver. The LED light will
indicate if the contact is paired with the receiver or not. There will
also be a long beep from the receiver when the contact is paired
successfully.
LED light
During normal operation, the LED light will not light up when the door
contact is activated.
8
Tamper switch: When the tamper switch is triggered, the LED will light up
for 2 seconds. If the tamper condition persists, the LED will light up for 2
seconds whenever the door contact is activated.

Test mode: The LED will light up every time the contact is activated
when the contact is in Test mode.
Battery: When the battery voltage is low, the LED will light up for 2
seconds every time the contact is activated. The LED will fl ash every
4 seconds when the battery needs to be replaced.
Mounting of contact and magnet
It is recommended that the contact should be placed on the
door/window frame and the magnet on the door/window.
Conduct a pairing/connection test before mounting the contact.
The contact can be mounted vertical or horizontal. The rib marks on
the side of the contact must be on the side facing the magnet.
1.
Use the two screw holes to mount the contact. Cover the screw
holes with the white caps. Make sure that the tamper switch is in
contact with the mounting surface.
2.
Align the magnet between the two rib marks on the side of the
contact and use the adhesive tape pad to mount it to the door/
window.
Note: The magnet should not be more than 15 mm from the
contact when the door/window is closed.
Extension terminal
The door contact has an extension terminal for enhanced fl exibility. It
can be used if it's not possible to mount the door contact to the door
frame or if there are multiple doors or windows that need monitoring.
The extension terminal forms a closed loop with the device that is
connected to it. When the loop is opened, the door contact is
activated.
Any potential free contact with normal close loop can be connected to
the extension terminal.
Connect the extension terminal
1.
Open the door contact housing by loosening the fi xing screw at
the bottom of the contact.
2.
Break through the knockout on the upper end of the casing to
create a hole for the wiring.
3.
Connect the contact loop to the extension terminal.
Internal magnet switch
The extension terminal and the internal magnet switch can operate at
the same time, but it's also possible to disable the internal magnetic
switch with the internal magnetic switch jumper.
The internal magnet switch jumper is set to OFF as a factory setting,
i.e. the switch is enabled.
