TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
The following examples describe common configurations for
the LTC 8780 Series. Refer also to Figure 4 through
Figure 10. The symbol "X" means that the DIP switch
position doesn't matter - it will work in either position.

RS-232 TRANSMISSION OF ALL DATA (Figure 4)
To send and receive all biphase data over an RS-232
link, set the DIP switches as follows:
BAUD - Set to the desired baud rate, see Table 1.
CODE DIST - X for biphase to RS-232 site, OFF for RS-
232 to biphase site.
ADDR FUNCT - X.
RCVR DRVR - ON.
XPOINT - ON.
CCL - ON.
MATCH - OFF.
ADDRESSES - X.
MODEM CMD - Refer to section on DIP Switch S105
settings.

If connecting to an Allegiant system, be sure to configure
the Allegiant system's CONSOLE port with handshaking
turned OFF.
