WhisperPower Battery Charger
Code
A01
Temperature Sensor (BTS) is defective.
Unit shutdown due to low AC Input
E01
(< 85 +/- 5Vac)
Unit shutdown due to high AC Input
E02
(>270 +/- 5Vac)
E03
Battery is connected backwards
Charger Internal temperature is too high and it has to shut
E04
down. The unit will automatically recover when the unit
cools down.
E05
Not used.
For non- Lithium Battery type setting:
High battery temperature >70 °C (158°F) is sensed by the
BTS when installed. The unit will shut down. The unit will
automatically recover when the battery temperature has
reduced to 60°C (140°F).
E06
For Lithium battery type setting:
High battery temperature >60 °C (140°F) is sensed by the
BTS when installed. The unit will shut down. The unit will
automatically recover when the battery temperature has
reduced to 55°C (131°F).
For non- Lithium Battery type setting:
Low battery temperature < -25°C (-13°F) is sensed by the
BTS when installed. The unit will shut down. The unit will
automatically recover when battery temperature reaches
-20°C (-4°F).
E07
For Lithium Battery type setting:
Low battery temperature < 0°C (32°F) is sensed by the
BTS when installed. The unit will shut down. The unit will
automatically recover when battery temperature reaches
5°C (41°F).
E08
DC Output fuses are blown.
Unit shutdown due to high battery voltage (> 17 Vdc). The
E09
unit will automatically recover when battery Voltage is
reduced to <16Vdc.
12 V 100 A
Condition
Corrective Action
Check and or replace the sensor.
Check AC input source. The unit will
automatically recover when the AC Input
voltage return to > 108 +/-5Vac
Check AC input source. The unit will
automatically recover when the AC Input
voltage returns to < 260 +/-5Vac
Check all battery connections
The ventilation of the unit is blocked or the
environmental temperature is high. Reduce
charging current or improve the ventilation near
the unit.
Check the battery, charger setting, and its
environment.
It is not recommended to charge the battery at
low temperatures.
Check battery connection and replace the fuse
with the same type and rating.
Check battery and charger settings. Check also
if there is any other DC supply connected to the
battery banks.
