related hazards. In the absence of these devices provide natural ventilation and be
careful do not inhales fume from soldering. Always ensure the work area is well-
ventilated.
1.3.9. Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons
unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power
tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
1.3.10. Never leave the soldering gun plugged in and unattended and before it is
completely cool.
1.3.11. Never touch the soldering tip while the soldering iron is plugged in.
1.3.12. Solder contains lead which is a poisonous metal, so always ensure your hands
are washed after using solder.
1.3.13. Prior to use soldering gun always look for damaged parts. Damaged parts
must be replaced by an authorized technician. Do not use the power tool if the switch
does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is
dangerous and must be repaired.
1.3.14. If cord set is damaged have it replaced by an authorized service centre. If
during operation the cable is damaged, do not touch it. Immediately unplug.
1.3.15. Never disassemble the soldering gun. Contact authorized service if needed.
1.3.16. All repairs must be performed by a specialist in one of the workshops of
RAIDER.
Damaged power cords increase the risk of electric shock.
Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/
or serious injury.
2. Functional description and use of induction soldering gun.
Induction soldering gun is a manual power tools with isolation II class. Soldering
gun is designed and constructed using the Joule - Lenz and operating principle of the
transformer. Joule and Lentz found that when passing an electric current through a
conductor evolve heat. The soldering gun provides fast heating with very little loss of
energy. Special form of "gun" makes it very easy to use. The soldering gun quickly
and efficiently provides the required temperature for soldering. The soldering gun is
designed for home use. Not permitted to use the soldering gun for activities other than
its intended purpose.
3. Operation.
3.1. Insert the plug into an appropriate power socket. Ensure it uses the correct
voltage (as stated on the rating plate of this tool).
3.2. Press the trigger (1). The work light (2) will illuminate when the trigger (1) is
pressed.
3.3. Place solder tip (4) in until it clicks into place and wait approximately 6 - 8
seconds for the tool to reach operating temperature 230°C.
3.4. The gun will continue to heat up when the trigger (1) is pressed in. To extend
the life of the gun, do not press the switch for long time. The time of press the switch
(1) should not be greater than 12 seconds. To keep the operating temperature of the
soldering tip (4) shall not release the trigger (1) for longer than 48 seconds. Thus, by
turning off the switch (1) you will adjust and maintain the temperature you need for
soldering.
3.5. To clean the place of soldering of organic pollution and weak oxides use rosin
for flux.
4. Storage and maintenance.
4.1. Disconnect the plug from the power source before making any adjustments,
changing soldering tip (4).
