AWNING ERECTION INSTRUCTIONS
1)
Open the 1st box and take out the poles and lay out in order as detailed in the enclosed frame
diagram.
2)
Assemble all poles so they are ready for use later.
3)
Have the grey plastic fix-on brackets to hand.
4)
Before putting the awning canvas on the Caravan check the awning channel for any damage i.e.
sharp edges at the start of the channel, dents etc. (all which can cause damage to your awning).
5)
Pull the awning canvas through the awning channel on the Caravan.
6)
Take the grey plastic fix-on brackets and attach to the secondary beading running alongside the
awning profile (up by the edge of the awning roof against your Caravan) Place one in the centre and
remaining 2 at the outer edges of the roof panel.
7)
Assemble the front centre section frame, poles 1, 2,3,4&5.
8)
Now take assembled poles 1,2,3,4&5 inside the awning. Then place the foot of the poles 5 on either
side through the awning ladder rubbers at the foot of the awning and lightly tension, then tilt the top of
the framework away from the caravan (in order to hold it in place whilst you install the roof poles).
9)
Now take assembled poles 6 & 14 and put the hook on the pole into the centre fix-on bracket and
locate clamp in approx. the centre of pole 2 and lightly tension.
10)
Repeat the previous steps in item 9 above but this time using the two outer fittings and locating the
pins into the back of corner section 1 & 3.
11)
By now the awning should be standing on its own.
12)
Now go round the awning and fit the pegging toggles through the sewn in rings around the foot of the
awning.
13)
At this point the rear support leg 10/8 should be fitted, using the clamp at the top which should be
attached to the outer roof pole as close as possible to the fix-on bracket the foot should then be
located in the ladder fitting at the base and tensioned. The remaining pole should be fitted in the
same way.
14)
You should now start by pegging the awning using one of the corners nearest the caravan, then
follow on by pegging the next front corner nearest to you and then finally the remaining corners.
15) Now go round the awning putting pegs in the remaining points.
16)
Finally go round the awning and tension all poles ensuring roof, canopy, sides and front panel are
fully tensioned (remember in particular, to ensure the roof has maximum tension to avoid problems
with pooling of water during bad weather) and don't forget to install the Storm Straps (supplied with
the awning) to improve stability on your awning adverse weather condition
**We highly recommend that you insure your awning against storm damage or accidental
damage, as the warranty does not cover such eventualities. The manufacturer is not liable
for any damage caused to the caravan because of misuse, incorrect pitching or extreme
weather**
Enjoy your caravanning!!
