Possible cause
No oil
Lowering valve not closed
Oil level too low
A valve is leaking
The seals are worn out or de-
fective
Valve clogged. Oil probably
contains dirt or other foreign ob-
jects.
Contaminated oil
Air in the hydraulic system
Oil seal of the pump worn out or
defective
There is too much hydraulic oil
in the cylinder
There is too much hydraulic oil
in the cylinder
Air in the hydraulic system

Possible solution
Fill up with oil
Close the lowering valve
Fill oil through the filling hole
into the reserve tank
Find the leaking valve and re-
place it
Replace the seals
Move the load, replace the con-
taminated oil
Replace the hydraulic oil
Vent the hydraulic system
Replace the oil seal
Remove the excess hydraulic
oil from the cylinder
Remove the excess hydraulic
