Note In positive ground vehicles the red wire goes to the chassis and the black wire is connected to the ignition switch.

    The unit requires very little current and therefore will not signifi- cantly discharge the vehicle’s battery. Even though the Cobra 25 WX NW ST has an automatic noise limiter, in some installations igni- tion interference may be high enough to make good communications impossible.
