Under certain limited circumstances, some combinations of C/Ports, monitors, and Multi-Video Expanders
(MVX) may fail to meet ClearCube published specifications.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Under certain limited circumstances, some combinations of C/Ports, monitors, and Multi-Video Expanders
(MVX) may fail to meet ClearCube published specifications. The following combinations of C/Ports, moni-
tors, and Multi-Video Expanders are affected.
Case 1 – When in DVI mode, the monitor blinks on and off. These monitors are known to display this issue:
• NEC LCD72VXM
• Dell 1970FP
NOTE: Other monitors that were not tested may exhibit this behavior as well. ClearCube recommends
testing with all the brands and models of monitor planned for your deployment.
These combinations are affected:
• 800x600, 75 Hz
– C7130 C/Port, R2100 MGA4 W2KSP4 blade, CAT6 cable, 200 m
• 1152x864, 75 Hz
– C7120W C/Port , R1200 MGA5 W2KSP4 blade, CAT5 cable, 200 m
• 1152x864, 75 Hz
– C7130 C/Port , R2100 MGA4 W2KSP4 blade, CAT6 cable, 200 m
• 1280x768, 60 Hz
– C7450 Fiber C/Port, R1300 MGA5 XPSP2 blade, 62.5-micron fiber cable, 200 m
• 1280x960, 60 Hz
– C7450 Fiber C/Port, R1300 MGA5 XPSP2 blade, 62.5-micron fiber cable, 200 m
Case 2 – Bad picture or no picture
• 1024x768, 60 Hz
– C7120W C/Port, all blade models, cable longer than 150 m

RESOLUTION

These potential workarounds may be used.
Case 1– Blinking monitor
• Use a different monitor.
Case 2 – Bad picture or no picture
• Use a cable between the C/Port and the blade that is shorter than 150 m.
