Hotel Refrigerator
Problem
The refrigerator will not
operate.
Food in the refrigerator
compartment is freezing.
The internal temperature
in the refrigerator
compartment is not cool
enough.
The refrigerator seems to
make unusual noise.
There is interior moisture
build-up.
The door will not close
completely.

Possible Cause
The power supply cord is unplugged.
The temperature control knob is set to 0 (solid-door
models).
The unit has been placed into Silent Mode (glass-door
models).
A household fuse or circuit breaker has tripped.
The internal temperature is set too cold.
The air vents on the drip tray are blocked in the
compartment; this prevents the movement of cold air.
The unit is placed too close to heat sources, or poor
ventilation exists.
The door is opened too often or not closed properly.
A large amount of food has just been added to the
refrigerator compartment.
The position of the thermostat knob is adjusted too low.
The refrigerator is not leveled on the floor.
The body of the refrigerator touches a wall.
The drip tray is not placed properly.
The door is opened too often or not closed properly.
The room is humid.
The food is not packaged correctly.
Food packages are keeping the door from closing
properly.
The shelves are out of position.
The gaskets are dirty.
The refrigerator is not level.
Troubleshooting
Suggested Remedy
Ensure that the unit is plugged in and
power is supplied.
Adjust the temperature control knob to a
cooler setting (1–7).
Move the unit out of Silent Mode. Refer to
"Using the Touch-Panel Control" on
page 9.
Ensure that there is power supplied to
the unit.
Adjust the temperature to a warmer
setting.
Ensure that the vents are clear and that
there are proper clearances around the
unit. Refer to "Installation" on page 5
for clearance details.
Limit the amount of time that the door is
opened during operation.
Cool food before inserting it into the
unit. Adding warm food to the unit delays
cooling.
Set the thermostat to a cooler setting.
Ensure that the refrigerator is properly
leveled. Refer to "Positioning the
Refrigerator" on page 6.
Ensure that there are proper clearances
around the unit. Refer to "Positioning the
Refrigerator" on page 6.
Ensure that the drip tray is positioned
properly.
Limit the amount of time that the door is
opened during operation and ensure that
the door is properly closed after opening.
Install the unit in an area with less
humidity, if possible.
Follow the recommended packaging
instructions. Refer to "Operation" on
page 8 for details.
Ensure that contents in the cooling
compartment do not obstruct the door.
Ensure that the shelves are in their correct
positions.
Clean the gaskets with a damp cloth.
Ensure that the unit is properly leveled.

page 6.
