This product complies with the maximum allowable concentration of ozone of 0.050 parts per million by volume
(ppmv) in a 24 h period. The Health Canada Guideline 2010 recommends that the maximum exposure limit, based
on an averaging time of 8 hours, be 0.020 ppmv or less when tested in an ASHRAE 52.2 conforming test duct.
The air filter is not energized in the absence of air flow in the HVAC system.
CAUTION - THE AIR CLEANER SHALL NOT BE INSTALLED IN A SYSTEM WITH AIR FLOW LESS THAN 375 CFM, TO
ENSURE OZONE LEVELS ARE NOT EXCEEDED.
THIS AIR CLEANER SHALL NOT BE INSTALLED ON THE HOT-AIR SIDE OF DUCT-TYPE SYSTEMS.
The POWER to the Furnace/Air Handler MUST BE TURNED OFF whenever installing, removing, or replacing the
DefendRx® air cleaner.
Care should be taken to not let the DefendRx® power cord jack touch grounded or metal surfaces which could
result in damage to the transformer or electronics.
Failure to change the Media Pad on a 2-3-month basis could reduce airflow and cause damage to the heating and
cooling system.
Only qualified Electricians should perform electrical wiring.
When non-official Genuine DefendRx® media is used, no matter what the makers claim, we are forced to
decline your Lifetime Warranty.
