- Verify expiration date. Do not use after this date.
- Do not nick, cut, tear, puncture or otherwise damage the device.

CAUTION: Placement should be performed by, or under the direction of the physician. Sizes (Fr and length) are to be subscribed by the physician.

REPLACEMENT OF THE TUBE:

1. Select the Compat
by the physician. Correct size helps to prevent gastric leakage and skin irritation.
2. Always wash hands before handling the device or its components.
3. Inspect the device for any damage prior to use.
4. Check the balloon for leakage according to the physician preferred procedures. One method consists in filling the balloon with the recommended
volume of water (Table 1). The inflated balloon should be symmetrical. Do not squeeze the inflated balloon. After checking, deflate the balloon. Use
Luer Slip Tip syringes only (Figure 1).
5. Cleanse skin around the stoma.
6. Remove the existing gastrostomy tube from the stoma per the original manufacturer's instruction.
7. Insert the Stylus (Figure 1) all the way into the Feeding Port. (The use of a Stylus is optional; it provides stiffness to the shaft). Note that the
Stylus should not exceed the button's distal tip.
8. Lubricate the tip of the tube with water-based lubricant. Never use oil or petroleum jelly.
9. Gently guide the tube through the stoma into the stomach until the entire balloon passes though the tract and the body of the Compat

10. Remove the Stylus (if used in step 7).

11. Hold the device and inflate the balloon with the recommended volume of water (Table 1). Use the 10ml Luer Slip tip syringe. Do not use air.

WARNING: If the Feeder is not properly connected and locked, leakage may occur.

FEEDING ADMINISTRATION:

WARNING: Always use an Extension Set to administer feeding and/or medication. Never administer any fluids directly into the button Feeding
Port or Inflation Port.
1. The Extension Set may be used with ENFit
2. Connect the Extention Set (as instructed above) to the pump administration set or syringe. Verify that the White Clamp of the Extension Set is
open. If the Clamp is closed, be sure to open it. Start feeding.
3. Upon completion flush the Compat
4. Disconnect the Extension Set (as instructed above) and close the Feeding Port Cap.
5. Wash the Extension Set with warm soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly.
GASTRIC DECOMPRESSION: Connect the Extension Set (as instructed above) and let retained air be released.
Set must be connected in order to open the valve. Opening by any other means, may seriously damage the valve.

MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION:

- Never mix formula and medication.
- Never administer any medication directly into the button Feeding Port or Inflation Port.
- Administer liquid medication whenever possible to prevent clogging.
- If a certain medication is available only in tablet form, consult with the physician before administration.
- Following administration of medication using the ENFit

WARNINGS:

- Do not use a Compat
capsules. Never crush enteric-coated medication, which could result in improper drug administration.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE:

- The Compat Buddy Gastrostomy Button should be replaced periodically or according to the physician's instruction.
®
- Always keep the stoma clean and dry. Clean the stoma site frequently with mild soap and warm water. If there is any signs of infection, irritation,
or granulation, you should consult a physician at once.
- After each use, flush the tube with 10-20ml of water for adults and 5-10ml for children.
- Check the volume of water in the balloon at regular intervals according to the physician preferred procedures. To do this, attach the Slip Tip
Syringe to the Inflation Port (Figure 3) and withdraw all the water while leaving the feeding tube in place. If there is less fluid than the volume originally
indicated, add more water to reach the indicated volume (Table 1) and then re-inflate the balloon.
- After each use, wash the Extention Set with warm water and rinse it thoroughly. Prompt flushing and rinsing helps prevent the formula from drying
an encrusting. Allow the Extension Set to air dry.
- Extension Sets can be used for up to 7 days unless the tube becomes clogged. Appropriate care and maintenance, as described above, will
help to allow the maximum use.

2. Lávese siempre las manos antes de manipular el dispositivo o sus componentes.

4. Verifique que el balón no tenga fugas de acuerdo con los procedimientos preferidos por el profesional sanitario. Un método posible consiste
en llenar el balón con el volumen de agua recomendado (Tabla 1).
El balón, una vez inflado, debe ser simétrico. No apriete el balón inflado. Después de verificarlo, desinfle el balón. Use solo jeringas de punta Luer

- Después de cada uso, enjuague la sonda con 10-20 ml de agua para adultos y 5-10 ml para niños.
- Verifique el volumen de agua en el balón a intervalos regulares de acuerdo con los procedimientos indicados por su profesional sanitario. Para ello,
conecte la jeringa de punta slip a la válvula de inflado (Figura 3) y extraiga toda el agua mientras deja la sonda de alimentación en su lugar. Si hay

AUSTAUSCH DER SONDE:
1. Wählen Sie die Größe der Compat Buddy Button-Sonde entsprechend der französischen (Fr) und Längengrößen (cm) des vorherigen Button

oder wie vom Arzt verschrieben aus. Die richtige Größe hilft, Magenleckagen und Hautreizungen zu vermeiden.
2. Waschen Sie immer Ihre Hände, bevor Sie das System oder seine Komponenten handhaben.
3. Bevor Sie das System verwenden, überprüfen Sie es auf Beschädigungen.
4. Überprüfen Sie den Ballon auf Undichtigkeiten gemäß den von Ihrem Arzt bevorzugten Verfahren. Die gebräuchlichste Methode besteht darin,
den Ballon mit dem empfohlenen Wasservolumen zu füllen (Tabelle 1). Der aufgefüllte Ballon sollte symmetrisch sein. Den gefüllten Ballon nicht
zusammendrücken. Nach der Kontrolle den Ballon entleeren. Verwenden Sie nur Luer-Slip-Spritzen (Abbildung 1).
Überschreiten Sie nicht das maximale Füllvolumen.
5. Reinigen Sie die Haut rund um das Stoma.
6. Entfernen Sie die vorhandene Gastrostomiesonde aus dem Stoma gemäß den Anweisungen des Originalherstellers.
7. Führen Sie den Stylus (Abbildung 1) vollständig in die Zufuhröffnung ein. (Die Verwendung eines Stifts ist optional. Es verleiht dem Schaft
Steifheit.) Der Stylus darf die distale Spitze der Button-Sonde nicht überschreiten.

10. Entfernen Sie den Stylus (falls Sie ihn in Schritt 7 verwendet haben).
11. Halten Sie das Gerät fest und füllen Sie den Ballon mit dem empfohlenen Wasservolumen auf (Tabelle 1). Verwenden Sie die 10 ml Luer-Slip-Sprit-

12. Ziehen Sie vorsichtig an der Compat

4. Verwenden Sie die zusätzliche Gaze, um die Stomastelle bei Bedarf zu reinigen.
VERLÄNGERUNGSSET ANSCHLUSS:
1. Überprüfen Sie die Verlängerungssets auf Beschädigungen. Verwenden Sie keine beschädigten oder verstopften Geräte.
2. Wenn andere als die im Kit enthaltenen Verlängerungssets verwendet werden, wie z. B. die Compat
gemäß den Anweisungen des Herstellers angeschlossen werden.
3. Öffnen Sie die Kappe der Zufuhröffnung.
4. Setzen Sie das Verlängerungsset in die Compat
Nut des Verbindungsrings ausrichten. Richten Sie die schwarze Linie an der Zuführung mit der schwarzen Linie auf dem Befüllanschluss aus.. Drücken
Sie leicht auf die Zuführung und drehen Sie sie vorsichtig im Uhrzeigersinn in einer ¾ Umdrehung (270 Grad), um die Zuführung zu verriegeln, bis ein
leichter Widerstand zu spüren ist. VORSICHT: Drehen Sie nicht über den Stopppunkt hinaus, da dies den Verbindungszahn beschädigen kann.
5. Um das Verlängerungsset zu entfernen, drehen Sie die Zuführung vorsichtig gegen den Uhrzeigersinn, bis die schwarze Linie an der Zuführung mit
der schwarzen Linie an der Befüllanschluss ausgerichtet ist und der Verbindungszahn durch die Nut gelöst werden kann. Entfernen Sie das
Verlängerungsset und schließen Sie die Kappe der Zufuhröffnung.
