Troubleshooting

No Sound, Volume is Low, Sound output does not match your feeling
 Is the mesh pad head tension loose? Loose head tension may cause various problems. (See "Head Tension Adjustment
(mesh pad only).")
 Are the drum key bolts loose? The drum key bolts fixing the head can be loosened while using. Tighten the bolts regu-
larly.
• Do not use a long handle drum key (such as a high-torque drum key or high-tension drum key) to tighten the head.
Over-tightening can damage your drum.
 Is the pad connected to the correct input number of the DTX Series Drum Trigger Module using the supplied stereo
phone cable? Refer to the owner's manual included with the drum trigger module and/or to the page for your specific
product on the Yamaha website for information on the functions relevant to trigger input jacks. When a pad is connected
with a mono phone cable, the voices assigned to the rim sections are not produced.
Refer to the owner's manual included with the drum trigger module and/or to the page for your specific product on
the Yamaha website regarding the problems described above and any other problems that you may be experienc-
ing. If a solution cannot be found to the problem after consulting the manuals, contact the dealer from whom you
purchased the product.
