3 - INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE 3.1 Introduction Never leave children unsupervised in the vicinity of the cooker; there is a very high risk of burns from the hot surfaces. Also: - never use the cooker with the door open; - never store firelighters or other easily combustible materials in the vicinity of the cooker; - never attempt to move or lift the cooker by the handles. -

3.5 Lighting and controlling the fire With the oven bypass damper set to the open position, and the combustion air controls E and B fully open, set light to some paper or a firelighter with some wood kindling. When the kindling has caught, place a log about 30 cm long on the fire. When the fire is well established, close the oven bypass damper and adjust the combustion air flow control (E) to obtain the desired heat output: position 1 gives a slow burning fire with a moderate heat output, while in position 3 the air flow is increased to obtain a fast burning fire with a high heat output. -

4.5 BUZZER If the temperature rises above 80°C, the control unit will emit an audible beep and the display will flash to warn the user of overheating. 5. MAINTENANCE AND CARE To maintain the cooker in good working order it is good practice to regularly clean the exterior and internal parts where there is buildup of soot , which, in addition to blocking the air flow and thus impairing efficiency, can sometimes also catch fire. -
