2 Power switch 5 Laskin nozzle 3 Power supply unit connection Functional description The PAG 1000 generates an aerosol with a particle concentration up to 4.7 x 10 particles/cm . An integrated pump generates the compressed air. A vacuum conveys the fluid to be nebulized through a Laskin nozzle. The size and concentration of the particles generated are a factor of the fluid used as well as of the pump settings.

5 Operation and settings Operation and settings Transporting the device NOTICE Device damage due to working fluid The device will sustain damage when penetrated by working fluid. 4 Keep the device horizontal and use it in this position Observe the following when transporting the device: Protect the device against severe impact during transportation.
These value serve as orientation when using DEHS as the working fluid at 22 °C, 50 % relative humidity and 1013 mbar ambient pressure, measured with the aerosol spectrometer Palas Promo 2000 and electrical mobility spectrometer Palas U-SMPS. Helpful tips on setting Always move towards the setpoint by starting from below it.
5 Operation and settings If you would like to decrease the particle number concentration, start by reducing the setpoint substantially. Then slowly move the setting up to the desired value. 5.5.2 Operating with saline solutions When the device is delivered, a stainless steel outlet nozzle is installed. This nozzle is suitable for DEHS and similar viscous oils.
