Operating features
front panel
Level (Mic Channel 1,2,3,4)
Output Level Controls of Mic Ch. 1,2,3,4
Signal/Clip
Green = input signal present. Red =
input signal exceeds limit. (May cause
distortion)
Mic Gain (Mic Channel 1..4)
Adjusts Input Level of microphones and
other audio sources. Turn CW to increase
input sense. Turn CCW to lower input
sense.
Mic Gain adjustment
Use connected microphone at normal
speaking level. Turn Input Gain Control
slowly CW until SIG/CLIP LED (Front)
goes from green to red. Turn Gain con-
trol slightly CCW so that SIG/CLIP LED
will remain green.
High EQ, Low EQ (Mic / Aux)
Active tone controls. (+-12db). Mid
Position = neutral. Operate EQ controls
carefully. Avoid extreme settings.
Phantom power supply 48V
(Mic Chan1..4) Push switch w/LED. Sup-
plies condenser microphones with 48V
phantom power.
PFL (pre fader listening)
Enables listening to a channel signal via
the Phones output. (Connects with a
headphone via 6,3mm stereo jack plug)
Automute (AM) switch w/LED
When switched on, Auto Mute (AM) gives
MIC1..4 and the MP3 channel priority
over AUX channels. AUX output is auto-
matically lowered when Mic channel is
in use.
Auto Mute Threshold (rear panel) con-
trols the sensitivity of this function.
Level (AUX1)
Output Level Control of Aux1 Channel.
Level (AUX2)
Output Level Control of Aux2 Channel.
High EQ, Low EQ (Aux1,2)
Active tone controls. (+-12db). Mid
Position = neutral. Operate EQ controls
carefully. Avoid extreme settings.
MP3 Player / IR Remote control
once this track has been played.
Pressing the Start Key (front of unit) - or
on IR remote control - or via footswitch-
will again play this track. This function
allows the use of the built-in MP3 Player
for start signals or alarm puposes.
If the USB stick is loaded with a number
of tracks, all will be played before the
player returns to stop in front of track 1
USB Soundcard (AUX2)
Channel AUX2 comes with a built-in USB
soundcard (audio codec).
Connect your computer /
laptop to this socket, using a
standard USB cable.
Most devices will automatical-
ly recognice this soundcard
without any extra driver to be
installed.
Some computers will require
a selection of this sound card
(shown as audio codec) be-
fore it can be used.

Plays MP3 files from a
USB stick.

When a USB Stick con-
tains one single audio
track only, the MP3
Player will return to start
EXT Out
Apart from being routed to the individual
output groups G1...G5 and L/R, selected
Output signals may be send to the
EXT Out (Left / Right) Jack / RCA so-
ckets. Output level towards Ext Out is
controlled by EXT Out level control.
Output Routing G1,2,3,4,5 L/R
Each input channel may be routed to one
or several group output channels as well
as to Master Left and Right.
Group- and Master Outputs will normally
be connected to power amplifiers which
drive speakers in up to 6 different zones,
such as meeting rooms, market halls,
hotel foyers etc.
For example, a presentation may be held
in a conference room, while music is pla-
ying in the hotel foyer and an announce-
ment is going to an other floor.
Group Level
1,2,3,4,5 and L/R con-
trols set the output volume.
Led Display G1...5 and L/R
Shows the current output level of master
left and right outputs, as well as that of
the group outputs G1,2,3,4,5
High EQ, Low EQ
(Master section)
Active tone controls. (+-12db). Mid Posi-
tion = neutral.
Operate EQ controls carefully. Avoid
extreme settings.
PFL (pre fader listening)
Enables listening to a Group or Master
channel signal via the Phones output.
Connect a standard headphone with a
6,3mm stereo jack plug.

Phones
Controls the Volume of the connected
headphone.
