operAtIon - General information

The appliance is intended only for domestic use, not for professional use.

operAtIon - first use
1. R emove the packaging.
2. C lean the baking plates to remove any residues that may be left from the manufacturing process (see
"Cleaning and maintenance"). Dry them thoroughly.
3. P ut the plug into the wall socket and allow the waffle maker to heat up. This will take about 10 minutes;
allowing it to heat will remove any packaging odour from the appliance.
T he appliance may emit a little smoke and a characteristic smell when you switch it on for the first
time. This is normal, and will soon stop. Make sure the appliance has sufficient ventilation.
K eep house birds away from the appliance when it is in use. Fumes released from the non-stick
coating when the baking plates are hot may be harmful to birds.

operAtIon - preparations

1. P lace the appliance on a level, stable and heat-resistant
surface.
2. Close the lid.
3. P ut the plug in the wall socket. The "Power" and "Ready"
indicator lights will illuminate.
4. T urn the themperature control dial to the required setting.
The required temperature has been reached once the
"Ready" indicator light exstinguishes.
