Buttons on the
Remote Control and Front Panel
1 ST.BY
Switches the system to the standby mode.
2 AC-3/5.1/2.1
Switches between AC3/DTS, 2.1 and
S 5.1.
3 MEMO 1-2-3
For selection of three preset volume levels.
Note: These preset values cannot be changed.
4 CEN (Center) +/-
With these buttons you can set the volume of the
center loudspeaker.
5 SUB (Subwoofer) +/-
With these buttons you can set the volume of the
subwoofer.
6 SUR (Surround) +/-
With these buttons you can set the volume of the
surround loudspeakers.
7 MASTER +/-
Buttons for volume adjustment.
8 MUTE
With this button you can switch off the loudspeakers
temporarily without changing the volume.
Note: When switching off this function ensure that the
overall volume is not set to maximum!
9 POWER
Mains switch
10 ST.BY
Standby lamp
11 Front +/-
These buttons are used to set the volume of the front
loudspeakers.
Note: Some buttons are located both on the front
panel of the device and on the remote control. The
buttons with the same designation have the same
function.

Initial Operation
Insert the plug in a duly installed 230V/50Hz socket.
1. Switch on your sound source (e.g. DVD player) and
start it.
2. Switch on the subwoofer with the on/off switch on the
front of the device.
3. Use the AC-3/5.1/2.1 button to select the desired
input source.
4. With the MASTER +/- button you can set the overall
volume.
5. By pressing buttons 4 to 6 on the remote control or
the corresponding buttons on the front of the subwoo-
fer, you can set the volume of the centre, surround
and subwoofer loudspeakers.
6. To stop operation, turn off the subwoofer with the
on/off switch.
Note: The surround and centre loudspeakers only work
when the system is turned to surround sound.
